We had a day off so we visited Little Italy of San Diego during a weekday.
It is rare to see this street so empty during lunch time. Ever since the pandemic started, people working nearby started going to restaurants like these less and less. The empty pizzeria and street almost feels post apocalyptic.
The tungsten incandescent bulbs hanging over the top. The light it emits barely visible during the harsh sunlight of the day. It is already November, yet the sun is still blaring, typical weather for Southern California.
Seagull cooling off in the fountain in front of the town hall. Not only people like to spend time there. It’s kind of waste of energy to keep these fountains going even if it reuses the water, but sure they are pretty.
Railroad for as far as you can see — it almost look like it’s cutting the city right in half. It seems like as long as you follow the yellow marked path, you will reach civilisation on the other side.
